Motorola Moto G54 Variants Tailored for China and India

Motorola has confirmed different versions of the Moto G54 for the Chinese and Indian markets, catering to the unique preferences of each region.

Both the Chinese and Indian variants share a common foundation, featuring the 6nm Dimensity 7020 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The front of the phone boasts a 6.5-inch 1080x2400px IPS LCD display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a responsive 240Hz touch sampling rate.

Differences emerge when we look at the rear camera setup. The Chinese Moto G54 sports a 50MP primary camera, whereas its Indian counterpart incorporates a 16MP sensor. Another distinguishing feature is the battery capacity, with the Chinese model housing a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. This variant weighs 179.7 grams and has a slim profile of 8.04mm. Additionally, a 2MP depth sensor graces the back.

Notably, the back panel materials differ as well. In China, the Moto G54 is offered in three striking vegan leather colors: blue, green, and magenta, all priced at CNY 1,099 (approximately €140), with immediate delivery options.

Meanwhile, the Indian Moto G54 boasts a larger 6000mAh battery, providing approximately 16% more capacity. It also includes a faster 33W charger in the package. In addition to the 8/128GB variant, the Indian market offers a higher-end 12/256GB model.

What sets the Indian variant apart is its use of the Dimensity 7020 chipset. This model is slightly heavier weighing 192 grams, and measures 8.89mm in thickness. It is available in three elegant color choices: Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue, all featuring a glossy “glass-like” plastic finish.
