The New York Times’ latest puzzle game is Connections. In this game, you have to categorize 16 words into four secret groups by figuring out how the words relate to each other. The puzzle is reset at midnight every night and every new puzzle changes in disadvantage. Similar to Wordle, you can track your winning streak and compare scores with friends.
If you’re finding today’s Connections puzzle challenging, don’t worry! We’ve got some helpful tips and hints to guide you through it. And if you’re still stuck after trying everything, don’t worry! We’ll reveal today’s answers at the end to help you out.
How to play Connections?
In the “Connections” activity, you will encounter a grid consisting of 16 words. Your goal is to group these words into four sets of four by recognizing the connections that tie them together. These connections could involve categories such as titles of video game franchises, sequels of book series, different shades of red, names of chain restaurants, and more.
The English language consists of words that may appear to be applicable to multiple contexts, but only one context is entirely correct. You have the ability to reorganize the grid of words to facilitate a clearer understanding of the possible associations.
The groups are differentiated by color for ease of identification. The yellow group is the most straightforward to understand, followed by the slightly more challenging green group, then the blue group, and finally, the most complex, the purple group.
In this game, you need to select four words and then submit your choices. If you’re right, the four words will be taken out from the grid, and you’ll discover the theme connecting them. However, if you guess incorrectly, it will count as a mistake. You have only four chances to make mistakes before the game ends. Good luck!
