I met a friend suffering from a bad mood as if he was sick or sad. I asked him about the reason for being in such a mood. After an hour of hesitation to disclose his inners, he told me that he would disclose his secret, as I am his close friend. He said that he wanted to ask my advice on marrying for the second time.
- � What about your wife?�, I said to him.
- �She did nothing�, he replied.
- �Did you notice anything wrong in her manners, faith or love and obedience to you?�, I added.
- �Nay, By God�, he confirmed.
- �So why?�, I wondered.
- � I am a man of virtue and I hate sin. I have a close intimacy with my wife who satisfies me to the point that I did not feel any inclination to another woman. But I am fed up with the long intimacy with her; I do not still adore her�, he explained.
What a hideous reward to your wife for her good company and sincere loyalty. How odd! You hear the voice of your soul believing you hear the voice of reason. You follow the road of fancy considering it a road of righteousness. It is from Satan; it is the devil�s insinuations. Do you think that the new woman will satisfy you without practicing a self-control upon yourself? The new will be some day old. You will be at a strong intimacy with the new wife, turning to feel bored with her beauty one day. Losing your admiration to her beauty, you will begin to search for a third and then a fourth, etc. Even if you had married a hundred women, spending your whole life in moving from bed to bed, you would have not been satisfied, finding no way except going after women.
Does a husband spend his life in hugging and kisses? Sex is for moments. Marriage, real marriage, means co-operation for living , exchanging views, pursuing for getting food and cloth and raising the children. Real marriage means recalling the past and planning the future.
Do you assume that you get happiness with tow women? Do you think your kids will stay with you while you take his mother as an enemy after marrying another woman who will share your first wife half by half the home , money and husband? Do you accept to launch a war you will be its first victims? No my friend. Time is changing and Allah�s law in polygamy is still forever. Polygamy is not a duty; yes, it is permissible. Return back to your wife. Consider her sincerity not her face or beauty. I have read so much about beauty, finding no statement about it right like Taghour�s saying: � Beauty is the sincerity�. If Miss World had betrayed you, she would have been so ugly in your eyes. Conversely, if a black woman gives you real sincerity, you will regard her as Miss World.
Trust in me. All what you have told me will be kept in secrecy. No one will know anything about it. Do you hear about a man of letter disclosing secrets to others?
