Question : One person killed another, then he killed himself. Do the kin of the victim have any financial rights over the kin of the killer who then committed suicide?

We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-�Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who Responseed as follows:
The kin of the victim have the right to diyah (blood money) from the wealth of the killer if he left any wealth. If he did not leave any wealth then they have no rights over the clan of the killer.
