Question: My wife and I performed Hajj togther. After completing our sacrifice and removing our ihrm garments, we made love to each other without knowing that it is was still unlawful for us to do so until we completed our tawf. Later on, when we came to know about it, we slaughtered two sheep as compensation Was this enough?
Answer: What you did was correct. After partially leaving the state of ihrm, sexual relations become a violation of ihrm like any other and require nothing more than a sheep being slaughtered in Mecca.
However, if pilgrims engage in sex while they are fully in the state of ihrm, then their pilgrimage is invalid and needs to be performed over again. Allah knows best.
