Astronomers have said that the speed of Jupiter has gone down in the eastern direction during the few recent weeks till it reached the phase of vibration between east and west. On Wednesday July 30, 2003 the movement of Jupiter has totally stopped in the eastern direction.

Later, in August and September, Jupiter has begun to move conversely towards the west direction, lasting in this movement till the end of September, denoting that the Sun rises nowadays on Jupiter from the west.

This abnormal phenomena is called retrograde motion. The scientists say that all planets, even our Earth, will experience this phenomenon one time at least!!!

The Earth will experience this reverse movement once, i.e. the sun will rise upon our planet from the west. It may happen soon as we are unmindful.

The Messenger (may peace be upon him) once said that sun rising from the west is one of the great signs of Resurrection Day when no repentance is accepted!!

Surprisingly, the Islamic scholars have confirmed that this phenomenon will happen just for one time then the sun will return back to its usual movement. This is identical to what is happened to Jupiter.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah�s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said,� Resurrection Day will not happen till the sun rises from the west. If it rises and people witnesses that, all will have faith in Allah, yet their repentance will not accepted.�(Narrated by Bukhary and Muslim).Once again, Abu Hurairh reported that the Messenger (may peace be upon him) said,� Initiate six actions then he mentioned among them the sun rising from the west.(Narrated by Muslim).

Similarly, Abdullah Ibn Amr ( may Allah be pleased with them) said,� I kept by heart a Hadith uttered by Allah�s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and I did not forget it. I heard Allah�s Messenger saying,� Resurrection Day will not happen till the sun rises from the west. If it does and people witnesses that, all will have faith in Allah, yet their repentance will not accepted�.� (Narrated by Ahmed).

Further, the Prophet said, �Allah unfolds His hand at night to forgive the doer of offence at morning and unfolds His hand at morning to forgive the doer of offence at night till the sun rises from the west�. (Narrated by Ahmed).

As it is highly serious and significant, this news opens the door before the unmindful and atheists. On revealing the sayings that mentioned such phenomenon 1400 years ago, Islam will be adopted by a great number of people. As Muslims has seen what�s happened to Jupiter, this may be a lead to what will happen in the near future. Who knows?!!

Sun rising from the west as
a great sign stated in Qur�an and Sunnah
Allah says in the Glorious Qur�an,� The day that some of the Signs of your Lord do come, no good will it do to a person to believe then, if he believed not before, nor earned good ( by performing deeds of righteousness) though his faith. (Al-An�am V. 158).

The right Hadithes have pointed out that the meaning of the above-mentioned verses is the sun rising as most of the explainers said. In this context, Tabary has said ,� the most right explanations mentioned for this verse are what has been reported from our Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying,�when the sun rises from the west�. Also, Shaukany said,� if this prophetic saying has been rightly reported, it should be adopted.

Moreover, Abu Hurairh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah�s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said,� Resurrection Day will not happen till the sun rises from the west. If it does and people witnesses that, then no faith will be useful to whoever did not believe before or did not make good from one�s faith.�

Abdullah Ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them) said,� I kept by heart a hadith uttered by Allah�s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and I did not forget it .I heard Allah�s Messenger (may peace be upon him) saying, � the first sign to be shown is the sun rising from the west� (Narrated by Ahmed)�.

Abu Zar ( may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet ( may peace be upon him) said,� Do you know where the sun will go? They replied,� Allah and His Messenger know�. He said,� It will run till it reaches its destination under the Throne, then it will throw itself down, keeping itself down till it is told: Stand up and return back to your origin. The sun returns back and rises from its normal direction then runs till it reaches its destination under the Throne, then it will throw itself down, keeping itself down till it is told :Stand up and return back to your origin. Allah�s Messenger said,� do you know what is this?�. This is the time when no faith will be useful to whoever did not believe before or did not make good from one�s faith�. (Narrated by Muslim).

Refusal of Belief and Repentance
Once the Sun Rises from the West
If the sun rises from the west, no faith will be accepted from any atheist and no repentance will be accepted from the disobedient since the rising from the west is considered a great event seen by the people of that time, thus all the truth will be clearly revealed. In that case, people will witness horrors forcing their neck in submission and acknowledgement.

Ibn Katheer has explained this matter saying that no faith will be accepted from the atheist as soon as the sun rises from the west. Those believe before the event, they will be awarded accordingly; if they are good the reward will be good, if no, the repentance will be refused.

The statements have pointed out that there will no be repentance as soon as the sun rises from the west, regardless people witness this or not. The same meaning was confirmed by Tabary who reported that Abdullah Ibn Massoud said: �the repentance is possible as long as the sun does not rise from the west�. The same was confirmed also by Ibn Hajar Al-Askslny who mentioned many evidences denoting that there will be no repentance after this event till the day of Resurrection.

Finally, the sun will rise from the west just one time then it will return back to its normal rising and resumes the normal up and down.
